Fergus graduated with Commendation from Glasgow University in 1994. He has been with the practice since 1995. Fergus has a keen interest in implant and restorative dentistry including crowns, veneers and composite bonding. He has spent the last fifteen years undertaking intensive postgraduate training in this specialised field. He undertakes the planning, surgical and restorative aspects of this treatment within the Gourock facility. This training has involved a mixture of hands-on one to one surgical mentoring coupled with academic courses, international conferences and reading. He is a member of the ITI (International Team for Implantology). He has also completed an advanced one-year restorative dentistry programme with Specialist Prosthodontist, Paul Tipton, in Manchester. Fergus became a partner in the practice in 2008.
Fergus is also a member of the British Society of Periodontology.
